SpendZy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application SpendZy (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide: SpendZy stores all your financial data — including expenses, income, loan records, savings goals, chitti group information, and categories — locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Automatically Collected Information:

• Purchase & Subscription Data: When you subscribe to SpendZy Premium, RevenueCat (our payment processor) collects anonymized transaction data to manage your subscription. RevenueCat does not link this data to your identity. You can review RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Google Drive Backup (Premium): If you enable Google Drive backup, SpendZy uploads an encrypted copy of your local data to your own Google Drive account. We do not have access to your Google account credentials or the contents of your backups. Google’s privacy policy applies to data stored on Google Drive.
• App Analytics: SpendZy does not use any third-party analytics SDKs in version 1.0. We do not track your behavior, screen views, or interactions.

Data NOT Collected: SpendZy does not collect or transmit:

• Your identity (name, email, phone number)
• Your location or IP address
• Your device contacts or address book
• Bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or UPI IDs
• Any data from your other apps

2. How We Use Your Information

All data you enter into SpendZy is used exclusively to provide the app’s features — tracking expenses, managing loans, setting savings goals, and running chitti groups. No data is shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage purposes.

3. SMS & Notification Access

If you choose to enable the Auto-Track feature, SpendZy uses an Apple Shortcut that reads SMS and UPI notification messages to extract transaction details. This processing happens entirely on-device. SpendZy does not upload, store remotely, or transmit your SMS messages. You can disable this feature at any time by deleting the Shortcut.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s built-in storage systems. We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All local data is protected by your device’s encryption (passcode/Face ID/Touch ID).
• Google Drive backups are encrypted before upload.
• We do not operate any backend servers that store your financial data.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information only:

• If required by law or to comply with a legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of SpendZy, our users, or others

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have full control over your data:

• Local Backup & Restore: You can back up your data locally and restore it at any time.
• Delete Data: You can delete individual records or clear all data from within the app’s Settings.
• Google Drive: You can disconnect Google Drive backup at any time from Settings, and delete existing backups from your Google Drive.
• Subscription: You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

SpendZy is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Third-Party Services

SpendZy integrates with the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Privacy Policy
• Google Drive — for cloud backup (Premium only, optional). Privacy Policy
• Apple — for in-app purchases, storage, and iCloud services per your device settings.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

10. App Store Privacy Details

As required by Apple’s App Store, here is the privacy nutrition label for SpendZy:

• Data Not Linked to You: Purchase History (RevenueCat), Diagnostics (crash logs via Apple)
• Data Not Collected: Contact Info, Health & Fitness, Financial Info, Location, Sensitive Info, Contacts, User Content, Browsing History, Search History, Identifiers, Usage Data, Other Data
